ABOUT THE ROLE
Overseeing studio administration and communications, the Studio Manager is a business minded go-getter with a passion for organization, systems, and nurturing relationships. An expert communicator and people person, the Studio Manager is strategic minded, organized, and outgoing — with a strong appreciation for art and aesthetics. Ultimately, you are someone with a whole-hearted enthusiasm to grow the studio and represent an innovative ceramics practice that is changing contemporary ceramic fine art. ABOUT STUDIO ANASTASIA
Anastasia established the studio in 2016 to make fine art that brings the outdoors inside and inspires appreciation and stewardship of the natural world. The studio, located in a light-filled 1000 square foot studio in Richmond’s Marina Bay District, is the heart of an innovative contemporary ceramics practice creating fine art for private collectors, public spaces, and fine art institutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages administrative aspects of the studio
Represents the studio in communication touch points via email, phone, social
Communicates and grows relationships with the art and interiors world: consultants, gallerists, curators, interior designers, architects, project managers, ect
Vets incoming projects and clients for the studio in collaboration with Anastasia
Prospects fine art and design magazines, blogs, and publications.
Schedules meetings, calls, and follow up appointments
Attends art events, shows, and networking opportunities
Prospects and applies for grant, public art, gallery, and request for proposal opportunities
Fields new opportunities to grow the studio’s community reach in San Francisco, Oakland, Marin, and the greater Bay Area
Researches and responds to RFPs/RFQs, manages project negotiations
Manages any and all application and submission processes for galleries and other opportunities.
Maintains, updates, and improves upon current art inventory and archival system
Performs occasional errands for studio
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
Confident and friendly on the phone
Natural relationship builder; warm and professional
Quick and comfortable with learning project management software
Ability to work independently with a self-starting attitude
Strong time management skills with attention to detail
Previous experience in project management, studio management, consulting, or sales preferred
Experience with the fine art, architecture and interior design worlds strongly preferred
As the Studio Manager, you do not need to know how to make ceramics (the role does not involve hands-on making), but you need to be a person who thrives in relationship building. You enjoy creating systems for communication and administration, and are genuinely excited about representing Anastasia’s studio to the community.

Driving to and from Richmond, California

COMPENSATION
This is a part-time hourly position with commission.
