This piece is part of Decommissioned, a textile art show featuring a limited collection of retired climbing rope artworks made by Anastasia Tumanova. This artwork will be on view at Berkeley Ironworks from July 1st, 2026 through August 1st, 2026 in Berkeley, California.
Inspired by her passion for rock climbing, Anastasia created this rope art collection with the aim of venerating the beauty, texture, and color of climbing rope, to celebrate the rock climbing sport, and to contribute to the climbing community at Berkeley Ironworks.

This handmade rope artwork features eight columns of figure eight knots made from retired moss green climbing rope, bound with polyester cording to a walnut wood dowel. Artwork comes signed and includes hanging hardware and a Certificate of Authenticity as proof of originality. This artwork is final sale and cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged.
